Acceptance into the M.F.A. program in dance requires admission into the Graduate College of The University of Iowa, as well as admission into the Department of Dance. Applicants must complete all application forms required for admission prior to the graduate auditions. Decisions regarding admission and assistantships cannot be confirmed until all required applicant files are completely satisfied.

All MFA application materials will be screened prior to arranging on-campus auditions. Applicants applying for teaching assistantships, research assistantships, or fellowships must complete one of the following on-campus auditions: February 16 & 17, 2010 or February 22 & 23, 2010.
Those whose native language is not English must take and pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), unless they have received a degree from an accredited college or university in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada (except Québec), Australia, or New Zealand. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 is required for admission to the M.F.A. program. TOEFL scores in the range 550-600 will require an English evaluation on campus, and language course work may be required in the first year.
