Mission
The University of Iowa Youth Ballet and School of Dance strives to serve the people of Iowa by providing high-quality outreach that enriches lives by encouraging and nuturing artistic expression and fostering the love and teaching of movement. We are committed to providing excellent, technique appropriate, and challenging classes for all ability levels across dance disciplines. We are dedicated to developing strong, well-rounded dancers and teachers of dance.

The University of Iowa Dance Forum has provided a wonderfully inspiring, creative and magical world of movement for my son since he was 2 and 1/2. The UI Youth Ballet has provided a fantastic platform for his desire to dance; the classes and performance have allowed him to grow as both a dancer and as an individual and to become responsible for himself but also to shine. By maintaining high critical and technical standards within safe and positive boundaries, the program has allowed him to bloom and strive to be a better dancer every year.
