Lovar Davis Kidd

Biography
Lovar Davis Kidd, known by L.D., is a multi-disciplinary performer, researcher, and choreographic artist. 

He is no stranger to the stage having performed extensively in both dance and musical theatre productions throughout the US. Most notably, as an ensemble member and principal understudy of the 2011-2012 2nd National Tour of the award-winning musical In The Heights. Prior to In The Heights, Kidd was a core member of the all-male modern dance company, EDGEWORKS Dance Theater in Washington DC.

Kidd has taught and choreographed at several Studios and Universities throughout the US and currently is a 1st year MFA Candidate on the choreography track at the University of Iowa.

When not teaching or choreographing, L.D. is a member of two Cedar Rapids-based Improv teams, Organized Chaos, and Mixed Review. He serves as a Master of Ceremonies for local private, corporate, and performance events, and also works as well as a licensed massage therapist and registered yoga teacher at Hands In Harmony in Cedar Rapids, IA.

L.D. is the proud father of two handsome boys, Myles and Kohen.
