Mariana Tejeda

Second Year MFA in Dance Candidate, Choreography Track

Multidisciplinary Artist with two MFA degrees from the University of Iowa, one in Stage Management and one in Spanish Creative Writing. Mariana is a second-year candidate for the MFA in choreography.  

In 2021, was awarded the University of Iowa MFA Summer Fellowship to create The Laphin MirRoooar a poetry exhibition where she invited artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to reinterpret her poems. 

Mariana has 20 years of experience in theater and opera productions in Mexico and the US and international touring.
