Add a Minor in Dance

The minor in dance requires 15 semester hours of credit in University of Iowa Department of Dance courses. Students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.00 or higher to satisfy the minor. Prospective students who are interested in adding a dance minor may audition by submitting the dance supplemental application.

On the application, students have the option of submitting video for placement in ballet and contemporary movement practices courses. Current students may add the minor by emailing Dance Administrative Specialist Molly Dahlberg at molly-dahlberg@uiowa.edu. Current students have the option of submitting video for placement in ballet and contemporary movement practices courses or attending a class for evaluation.
