Iowa Arts Fellowship
For outstanding performers and/or choreographers
This is a one-year award that includes a $22,000 academic year fellowship stipend plus a scholarship for full tuition and 50 percent of the mandatory fees as listed in the tuition and mandatory fees table.
Requirements
- Exceptional talent in performance and/or choreography
- Formal admission to the Graduate College
- Admission to the Department of Dance MFA
- Nomination by the Department of Dance and approval by the Graduate College
Fellowship award
This competitive merit award from the Graduate College includes a tuition waiver and a stipend, renewable for a second year upon satisfactory completion of the first two semesters. For those students electing to complete the MFA in 2.5 or 3 years, the department makes every effort to continue funding through a Research or Teaching Assistantship, but these awards are not guaranteed and are made on a case-by-case basis.
